To celebrate spring, gardens, and fresh food CHML is participating in Strawberries and Salad Greens Day on Wednesday, May 23rd. School lunch will feature local strawberries salad greens grown on farms near Washington, DC. Please join us for the celebration!
We will have a “Where Food Comes From” table in the lobby, displaying plants, seeds, maps, pictures, stickers, and more to get students excited about eating healthy. It will be a chance for students and parents to taste and appreciate the unmatched flavors of fresh foods, and to learn about the farm-to-table process.
