Climbing wall, here we come! We just received the good word that CHM@L has been awarded a $10K DC Physical Activity for Youth (DC PAY) Grant from the Office of the State Superintendent of Education (OSSE).
The $10,000 grant will fund a rock climbing wall, new athletic equipment to expose our students to many sports (ie archery, bowling, etc), and a daily activity burst contest to get our kids moving! In addition, CHM@L will host a Harvest Festival in October in conjunction with DC School Garden/Farm to School Week to celebrate and teach families how to increase both physical activity and nutrition while having fun!
