International Walk to School Day is Wednesday, October 3!
The Walking (and more): Join the fun and walk, bike, scoot, stroll, or skate with your friends. You can meet at Lincoln Park for the neighborhood party (where over 10 schools will gather for music, snacks, giveaways and celebrity speakers) or meet up with CHM@L friends closer to school and walk as a group.
Meet at any of the following:
- Lincoln Park Event: 7:30-8:30AM – 13th and East Capitol, SE. More here.
- 8th and C St. NE, 8:20 AM (departure) led by CHM@L Parent, Grace!
- 4th and F St. NE, 8:30 AM (departure) led by CHM@L Parent – Mary Beth!
The Activity Burst (and more): The fun doesn’t end with walking to school! The Health and Wellness Committee will have a hospitality table at CHM@L that morning. When you get to school, make sure you get officially counted and get your sticker!
Refuel with a snack and learn about the new Activity Burst contest that Mr. Davis and Mr. Taylor will be running at recess everyday–10 minutes of moving and grooving (laps, jumping jacks, skipping and more) to get kids moving!
