How do your children get to school? Wouldn’t be great if those trips to school served as opportunities to exercise? Get to know other families? Connect with the community?
Over the past year, with input from our community, Principal Eatman, the Safe Routes to School team have worked w/ our friends from DDOT on a safe routes/active transportation plan for our school.
Please take a look at the plan, comment, and think about what you would like to see implemented, and how you would like to get involved. (Do your kids make good safety patrols? Want to lead a walking school bus?)

Problem: 2nd street parking lot. Cars are not able to enter/exit safely.
Drivers can’t see other cars/pedestrians when coming in/out parking lot.
Solutions; Add rumble strip to parking lot entry. Add flashing light to both sides of parking exit to warn pedestrians. Add 4-way stop or speed hump on 2nd street for easier exit out of parking lot and slow down traffic on 2nd street.
