The Montessori philosophy is grounded in a world view. We embrace the idea that all cultures should be studied and appreciated. Each spring we celebrate our own international roots during International Days. Each classroom chooses a country to celebrate. The choice often is a connection to the culture or history of a family in the classroom. Students study various aspects of the culture and share that learning with other classrooms. The classroom activities conclude with an all-school evening event for families and children, a celebration of international foods, music, dance, and culture.
