Walk to School Day and Bike to School Day

Join children and adults around the world to celebrate the benefits of walking and bicycling.

You can participate at the community event at Lincoln Park hosted by the Capitol Hill Public Schools Parent Organization (CHPSPO).  Many residents around the community meet and then travel together to their schools. It’s a tremendously exciting event that shows children the benefits of walking and biking for traveling around our community.

Families meet at Lincoln Park starting at 7:45am and then leave by 8:15am to get to school on time. 

The event is open to students enrolled in schools located on (or near) Capitol Hill, local government, community organizations, local businesses, and local and national advocates for Safe Routes to School.

Can’t make it to Lincoln Park? Walk, bike, scoot, skate or carpool and drop off a couple of blocks before school!
