We hosted our annual CHML School Spelling Bee. Students from grades 1 through 8 competed through classes to the school-wide bee finals of 40 spellers. Through a day of confident poise, mishap melancholy, and trepidatious etymology there was a champion: A.J, a fifth grade student.
He will be joined by the other top 3 winners: Emilio (8th grade), Curran (3rd grade); and alternate Bea (5th grade) in the DC cluster spelling bee next Friday.
Wish them the best of the best of good fortune and felicity!
Special thanks to the school staff and volunteers who coached the students and ran the competition: Ms. Wiley, Ms. Price, Mr. Webber, Ms. Warrick, and many others!
